Barney brings more than 30 years of experience in business leadership, infrastructure, and hands-on problem solving to Trim Tab. He's the founder and CEO of Go Pave, which he founded in 1996 and has since grown into a trusted asphalt, concrete, and excavation operation serving commercial clients across the Western U.S. Barney is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses graduate and the program’s 2025 National Champion. In addition to his work with Trim Tab, he serves on the board of Utah Global Diplomacy.
Barney built his career on infrastructure, so he knows how essential it is to have a good foundation to build on. To him, that same principle applies to young people: the right support at the right moment can change the trajectory of a life. He’s drawn to Trim Tab’s work because it gives youth the real-world tools and projects they need to build beyond what they thought possible.
